Seongjin Kim

Seongjin Kim is an artist and designer based on Jeju Island, South Korea. He completed his foundation studies in art and design at Kingston University, London, before graduating with a BA in Fashion in 2021. His tattoo practice began during a break from university for military service and developed into a sustained exploration of Korean traditional art.

His work spans tattooing, design and fine art. While his tattoos draw on brushwork, dancheong, architecture and ceramics, his fine art explores the self, the body and their fragile relationship with nature. Working with ink, paper and ceramic surfaces, he approaches the nude as an inseparable expression of body and consciousness—giving form to vulnerability, desire and the transient nature of existence.
