Manifesto
One human being defines the entirety of their own universe.
And beauty made for rapid consumption can never contain them.
We ask:
Who am I?
A sacred cry — one soul’s voice to the world.
Etched through pain and contemplation,
a voice that cannot be erased.
This is their mark.

The force of the brush. The order of dancheong. The silence and space of ink wash.
Seongjin KimBackground

Dancheong / 단청
From architecture to skin.
For Seongjin Kim, dancheong is a visual language of order and inner harmony. His work carries that language onto the body, arranging patterns around the flow of muscles and joints as an architectural surface. The intention is not to reproduce an ornament, but to explore how inherited forms can express identity in the present.
The practice began with brush-inspired tattoos and expanded towards dancheong, traditional Korean buildings and ceramics. These references inform the structure and movement of each work.

The body. The self.
In his fine art, body and consciousness are understood as interwoven expressions of one existence. The nude becomes a place where the flow of nature takes temporary form—a way to picture vulnerability, desire and the fragile boundaries of the self.
